What I wrote is Forgave them. This is a use in Arabic that is general that accepts exceptions, and does not mean absolute. A general rule of forgiveness accepts that some were not forgiven.

husseinhusseinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08422817645073536753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9808370.post-15166740944973267582008-05-03T09:31:00.000-05:002008-05-03T09:31:00.000-05:00Assalamo Alaykom, very useful information, thanksI...Assalamo Alaykom, very useful information, thanks
I can't speak Arabic, but I was thinking of another interpretation for aya 2:54
You said that Allah forgave all them, but I don't think so, if fact they had to kill themselves (one each other) to be forgiven. And this is why:
Allah had a covenant with the Children of Israel (all of them):
2:40 O Children of Israel... fulfil your covenant with Me, I will fulfil My covenant with you...

Some jews fulfiled it and some jews didn't.
Musa said:
7:155 "My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them before and me [as well]. Would You destroy us for what the foolish among us have done?"
So, the children of Israel, as a whole, failed to fulfil the covenant, Allah would have punished all them, because of that, but Allah forgive "some" of them, if they killed the wrongdoers among them.
(rather than punishing all them, or rather than forgiving all them)
Hope to hear your feedback
Best regards,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
