This is 3:140
إِن يَمْسَسْكُمْ قَرْحٌ فَقَدْ مَسَّ الْقَوْمَ قَرْحٌ مِّثْلُهُ وَتِلْكَ الأيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَيَتَّخِذَ مِنكُمْ شُهَدَاء وَاللّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الظَّالِمِينَ
In yamsaskum qarhun faqad massa alqawma qarhun mithluhu watilka alayyamu nudawiluha bayna alnnasi waliyaAAlama Allahu allatheena amanoo wayattakhitha minkum shuhadaa waAllahu la yuhibbu alththalimeena

The Aya says:
If an open wound is to touch you (plural), then a similar open wound touched the other people. And these are the days, We exchange them between the people, and in order that Allah knows in fact those who made themselves safe (in Him) and take from you witnesses/martyrs, while Allah does not love the transgressors.

My personal note:
This Aya and the other Ayat that preceded it and that are following are talking about a battle where defeat or near defeat happened to the followers of the messenger. The name of the battle is Uhud. Here, Allah is telling the followers that if they were touched by hardship and open wound of suffering, then the others were touched by it. It reminds them that Allah tests them at times to know, in manifestation of facts, the ones who remain steadfast. It also mentions the taking of witnesses. Witnessing here can encompass within it, any form of witnessing including those who died in that battle, because they witnessed the greatness and mercy of God.

Translation of the transliterated words:

Yamsaskum: He touches you/ touches you (plural)
Note: the root is M-S-S and it means touching. This is the conceptual meaning of the word and becomes specific according to the plane of thought. YAMSASKUM is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of touching the object (KUM=plural you) is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Qarhun= wound/ sore)
Qarhun: open Wound/ sore
Note: the root is QAf-R-Ha and it means open wound or sore are. This is then used as a concept to build meanings on it. QARHUN is an open wound or injury or sore, or the effect of it or both.

Note: the root is M-S-S and it means touching. This is the conceptual meaning of the word and becomes specific according to the plane of thought. MASSA is an action that was completed. It means: the action of touching the object (AlQAWMA= the people/ the opposite group) happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to Qarhun= wound/ sore)
Alqawma: the people/ the other people
Note: the root is Qaf-Y-M and it means standing or standing upright. ALQAWM are the people that stand together and that makes the group or people or nation, basically, any group of people that stand together. Here. It points to the other group.
Qarhun: open wound/ open sore
Note: the root is QAf-R-Ha and it means open wound or sore are. This is then used as a concept to build meanings on it. QARHUN is an open wound or injury or sore, or the effect of it or both.
Mithluhu: similitude of him/ like him
Note: the root M-TH-L and it means similitude or similar. MITHLU means similitude of. It can also be understood as the example of. HU means him and it points to Qarhun= open sore.
Watilka: and this
Alayyamu: the days
Note: the root is Y-W-M and it means day. ALAYYAM means the days.
Nudawiluha: We make them exchanged/ We make them give and take
Note: the root is D-W-L and it means exchange or give and take. NUDAWILU is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making exchanges or give and take is happening or will be happening in an interactive fashion by the subject (first person plural) on the object HA= them which points to the days.
Bayna: between
Alnnasi: the people/ the society.
Note: ALNNASI is derived from the root Hamza-N-S and it means socializing. ALNNAS are the society/the people.
waliyaAAlama: and in order that He knows for fact/ including in order that He knows for fact.
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. LI means in order to or to. YaAALAMA is derived from the root Ain-L-M and it means knowledge or knowledge of facts. YaAALAMA is an action that is happening or will be happening. So, it ends up meaning: they made themselves safe.
Wayattakhitha: And He takes
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. YATTAKHITHA is derived from the root Hamza-KH-TH and it means taking. YATTAKHITHA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of taking for oneself the object (minkum= from you (plural)) is being completed or will be completed by the subject (third person singular).
Minkum: from you (plural)
Shuhadaa: witnesses/ martyrs
Note: the root is SH-H-D and it means witnessing of truth and it also denotes that the witness knows very well what he or she is witnessing about. The concrete meaning is the honey mixed with wax therefore the wax is the witness of the truth that the honey is the honey. Another concrete meaning is the baby that was just born and is covered with a membrane. SHUHADAA means witnesses. Here, it is mentioned in the context of witnessing at a time of hardship or battle and that can include in it, people who die or get killed in the process of being in the service of Allah, martyrs, and that is considered a form of witnessing.
waAllahu: While Allah
la: not
yuhibbu: He loves
Note: the root is Ha-B-B and it means in concrete seed. This word also means love. As if the seed is the product of love or the love will end up in a seed. YUHIBBU is an action that is derived from the root and that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of loving is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah) of the object Alththalimeena= the ones who transgress, coming up.
Alththalimeena: The ones who transgress/ the ones who misplace right and wrong.
Note: the root is THA-L-M and it means darkness in the most concrete form. This word also takes the meaning of misplacing right from wrong and transgression since it is misplacing right from wrong and a decision made in darkness. ALTHTHALIMEENA are the ones in darkness, the transgressors or the mis-placers of right and wrong.
