 Salaam all

11:85

The Aya says:

and my people deliver fully the measuring and the weighing.  And do not devalue the people’s things and do not sow chaos on earth causing harm.

My personal note:

The verse is a message to the people of Madian but it is also a message  to all humanity about the ethics of transactions.

Translation of transliterated words:

wayāqawmi: And my people

Note: WA is for continuation of the subject in this context.  YAQAWMI YA is used for calling.  QAWMI is derived from the root Qaf-Y-M and it means standing or standing upright. QAWMI are the people that stand together and that makes the group or people or nation, basically, any group of people that stand together or form a group. YAQAWMI means O my people.

Aufu: fulfill/ deliver fully

Note: the root is W-F-Y and it means meeting dues. This then takes different meanings according to the plane of thought of the sentence. One meaning could be death since it is a meeting of dues, or just a taking of someone or something depending on the situation, or other forms of meeting dues. AWFOO is an order or request addressed to a group.  It means: fulfill or deliver fully and so on.

l-mik`yāla: the measuring

Note: the root is K-Y-L and it means measuring commodities either by weight or volume and so on. ALMIKYALA is the measuring or measurement.

wal-mīzāna: and the weighing

Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. WA often corresponds with “and/ addition” but the more encompassing meaning is in inclusion one in another or all in a bigger picture or sentence. ALMEEZANA is derived from the root W-Z-N and it means weighing. MEEZAN is what one weighs with but can be pointing to the weight itself as well as the process of weighing.

Bialqisti: by the fairness/ with the fairness

Note: Bi denotes that what comes after is a tool and/or an object of the action that was mentioned. If it is an object of the action then it makes it stronger. ALQISTI is derived from the root Qaf-S-TTA and it means portioning. Some derivatives of this root give the meaning of just and fair portioning and others not. ALQISTI in this context points to fair reward.   This fair reward is much more than what is deserved.

Wala: and not

TABKHASOO: debase/ lessen /take away/ undervalue

Note: TABBKHASOO is derived from the root B-KH-S and it means to give less than what is due. TABKHASOO is an action that is happening or will be happening. It means the action of giving the object (ANNAS= the people) less than due is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural).  Because it is preceded by the WALA then it takes the form of an order not to do it.

ANNAS: the people

Note: ALNASSI is derived from the root Hamza-N-S and it means socializing. ALNNAS means the people or humans or the society.

Ashya AHUM: their things

Note: the root is SH-Y-Hamza and it means entity for noun and to entity for the action. This means making a non entity become an entity, which also means making what was impossible possible, or what was non existent, existent or what was un-allowed allowed, and so forth.  ASHYA AHUM means their things.

Wala: and not

taAATHAW: act unruly/ bring chaos

Note: TaAATHAW is derived from the root Ain-TH-W and it means in concrete when the hair in the head has too much disorder, dryness unruliness or when the grass in the earth is dry and a lot of it. A Hyena is also called by this word. Conceptually, it points to unruliness, interference to the worse. WALA TaAATHAW is an order to a group saying: and do not act unruly.
fee: in

alardi the earth/ the land
Note: ALARDI is derived from the root Hamza-R-Dhad and it means earth or land. ALARDI is the earth/ the land.
Mufsideenacausing harm/ causing damage
Note: MUFSIDEEN, the root F-S-D and it means becoming damaged for the action and damage for nouns. It is used for damage or harm or lack of benefit. MUFSIDEENA means causing damage or harm or lack of benefit.

Salaam all and have a great day

Hussein
