 Salaam all

10:102

فَهَلْ يَنتَظِرُونَ إِلاَّ مِثْلَ أَيَّامِ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ قُلْ فَٱنْتَظِرُوۤاْ إِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِّنَ ٱلْمُنْتَظِرِينَ

fahal yantairūna illā mith`la ayyāmi alladhīna khalaw min qablihim qul fa-intairū innī maʿakum mina l-muntairīna

The Aya says:

So what they are waiting for except like the days of those who vacated before them?! Say (OH Muhammad): Wait.  I am with you waiting.

My personal note:

The Aya  reminds them that the people before them who rejected the messages were punished so it brings to them.  Are you waiting for the same?!

Translation of the transliterated words:

fahal: So what?/ how?

yantairūna: they wait/they stay put

Note:  YANTATHIROON is derived from the root N-THa-R and it means seeing/observing/watching with one side of the meaning stronger than the others according to the situation. At times it means giving reprieve or giving time to correct things and that stems from the observing/watching as if it is time of observation/watching or waiting or given time.  YANTATHIROON is an action that is happening or will be happening.  It means: the action of waiting or staying put is happening by the subject (third person plural).

Illā: except/ if not

mith`la: similar to

Note: the root M-TH-L and it means similitude or similar. MITHLA means Similar to.

Ayyāmi: days of

Note: AYYAWMI is derived from the root Y-W-M and it means day or a full time cycle. YAWM means a day or a time cycle.  AYYAMI means days of.

Alladhīna: those who

Khalaw: left / vacated

Note: the root is KH-L-W and it means emptying or emptying except for. One concrete word that is from this root is KHALIA and is the name of the bee hive because it is empty of any life but the bees. KHALAW is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of becoming empty/ gone/ vacating happened by the subject (third person plural)

Min: from

Qablihim: before them

Note: the root Qaf-B-L and it means front. This is then carried in time or space or any plain of thought. If it is in time, then front means before, while place would be in front. It is used to mean acceptance and reception since we receive and accept using our fronts. QABLI here is front in time and that is before. HIM means them.

Qul: say/ respond

Note: QUL is derived from the root Qaf-W-L and it means saying in any way possible. QUL is a demand or request addressed to a singular.  It means: say or respond.

fa-intairū: So wait

Note: FA means so or therefore or then.  INTATHIROO is derived from the root N-THa-R and it means seeing/observing/watching with one side of the meaning stronger than the others according to the situation. At times it means giving reprieve or giving time to correct things and that stems from the observing/watching as if it is time of observation/watching or waiting or given time.  INTATHIROO is an order or request addressed to a group.  It means: wait.

Innī: I

maʿakum: with you (plural)

mina: among/ of

l-muntairīna:  the waiting/ the ones waiting

Note:  The root is N-THa-R and it means seeing/observing/watching with one side of the meaning stronger than the others according to the situation. At times it means giving reprieve or giving time to correct things and that stems from the observing/watching as if it is time of observation/watching or waiting or given time.  ALMUNTATHIREENare the ones who are waiting/ anticipatin and so on.

Salaam all and have a great day

Hussein
