11:103

 Salaam all

11:103

Inna fee thaalika la aayatal liman khaafa 'athaabal Aakhirah; thaalika Yawmum majmoo'ul lahun naasu wa thaalika Yawmum mashhood

The Aya says:

In this is a sign for whoever is wary of the suffering in the coming life.  That is a day people are gathered in and that is a day that is witnessed.

My personal note:

It is a reminder that we should be wary of the coming life.  We are all going to be gathered to it and its punishment is very hard.  So those of us who are conscious should work to avoid that outcome.

Translation of the transliterated words:

Inna: indeed

Fee: in

Thaalika: this/ that

la aayatal: signs

Note:  LA here for more emphasis. AYATUN is derived from the root Hamza-Y-H and it means sign. AYATUN means signs.

Liman: to who/ for who

Khaafa: feared/ was weary of

Note: the root is KH-W-F and it means fear. KHAFA is an action that is completed. It means: the action of fearing or being weary of the object (Aathab- suffering) happened by the subject (first person singular).

'athaaba: suffering of/ punishment of

Note: AAaTHAB is derived from the root Ain-TH-B and it means an easy to swallow food or drink. AAaTHABA is what makes one not take an easy to swallow food or drink. That is suffering of or punishment of.

alAakhirah: the remaining (life)/ the next life

Note: The root is Hamza-KH-R and it means remaining.  In this context it takes the meaning of staying extra or delaying.  ALAKHIRA is the delayed life or the next life and so on.

 Thaalika: this/ that

yawmun: day/ A day

Note: It is derived from the root Y-W-M and it means day or a full time cycle. YAWM means a day or a time cycle.

Note: ALNASSU is derived from the root Hamza-N-S and it means socializing. ALNNAS means the people or humans or the society.

wa thaalika: and that

yawmun: day/ A day

Note: It is derived from the root Y-W-M and it means day or a full time cycle. YAWM means a day or a time cycle.

 Mashhood: witnessed/ to be witnessed

Note: the root is SH-H-D and it means witnessing of truth and it also denotes that the witness knows very well what he or she is witnessing about. The concrete meaning is the honey mixed with wax therefore the wax is the witness of the truth that the honey is the honey. Another concrete meaning is the baby that was just born and is covered with a membrane. In both, there is close association which is proof or witness of the fact. MASHHOOD means witnessed or to be witnessed.

Salaam all and have a great day
