This is 3:40
قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىَ يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاء
Qala rabbi anna yakoonu lee ghulamun waqad balaghaniya alkibaru waimraatee AAaqirun qala kathalika Allahu yafAAalu ma yashao

The Aya says:
He (Zachariah) said: My nurturing Lord, How will belong to me a child/youth while old age (has) reached me and my wife (is) barren?! He responded: That (is) how Allah does what He wills/ entities.

My personal note:
As if Zachariah was asking for a child and not expecting that the child will come. So, he was surprised when the message came to him that he will have the child. When he asked how does it happen? in those unlikely circumstances, the answer came that God does what He entities. This means: God makes an entity what was not an entity.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Qala: He said
Note: the root is Qaf-W-L and it means saying or communicating. QALA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the saying happened by the subject (third person singular). It means he said.
Rabbi: My Nurturing Lord
Note: the root is R-B-B and it means lordship and nurturing at the same time. It gives authority and nurture at the same time. RABBI is used here for calling: My nurturing Lord.
Anna: How
Yakoonu: happens to be/ will happen to be
Note: the root is K-W-N and it means being. YAKOONU is an action that is being completed or will be completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of being is happening or will be happening by the subject (third personal singular). The meaning of the term ANNA Yakoonu is then: How will happen to be.
Lee: belong to me
Ghulamun: A youth/ a Vigorous one
Note: the root is GH-L-M and it means vigor in any plane of thought. GHULAM is any young person between birth and graying. It’s relationship with vigor is that youth and vigor is associated with youth.
Waqad: and (with stress)/ while (with stress)
Balaghaniya: He reached me
Note: the root is B-L-GH and it means reaching a destination. It is used for the child that becomes an adult and for any action that reached it’s intended destination. This includes communicating clearly so that your message reaches the ones you are talking to. BALAGHA is an action that is completed. It means that the action of reaching destination/object (IYA which means Me) happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to ALKIBAR= old age)
Alkibaru: the old age
Note: the root is K-B-R and it means big in quality or quantity or any other feature that denotes bigness. This is the general meaning and becomes more specific according to the sentence. ALKIBARU here means the bigness and in this instance, it takes the meaning of bigness as old age.
Waimraatee: and my wife
Note: WA means and. IMRAATEE is derived from the root M-R-Hamza and it means a man and the feminine of the word is IMRAA. IMRAATI means woman of me and here means my wife.
AAaqirun: Barren/ cannot bear children
Note: the root is Ain- Qaf-R and it means being unable to bear children in one of the concrete meanings. Another is the sand that cannot grow plants on it. So, it has the general concept of reaching or being at a dead end point that cannot lead to offspring or productivity. AAaQIRUN here means: she is barren or cannot bear children.
Qala: He said/ He responded
Note: the root is Qaf-W-L and it means saying or communicating. QALA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the saying happened by the subject (third person singular). It means he said.
Kathalika: that is how/ Like that
Allahu: Allah
yafAAalu: He does
Note: the root is F-Ain-L and it means doing. Yafaaal is an action that is being completed or will be completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of doing is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to God).
Ma: What
Yashao: He wills/ He entities
Note: the root is SH-Y-Hamza and it means entity for noun and to entity for the action. This means making a non entity become entity, which also means making what was impossible possible, or what was non existent, existent or what was un-allowed allowed, and so forth. YASHAO is an action that is being completed or will be completed and related to the root. It means: The entity is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular and points to God). The entity in this place is the doing or the working of God.
