This is 2:283
وَإِن كُنتُمْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ وَلَمْ تَجِدُواْ كَاتِبًا فَرِهَانٌ مَّقْبُوضَةٌ فَإِنْ أَمِنَ بَعْضُكُم بَعْضًا فَلْيُؤَدِّ الَّذِي اؤْتُمِنَ أَمَانَتَهُ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّهَ رَبَّهُ وَلاَ تَكْتُمُواْ الشَّهَادَةَ وَمَن يَكْتُمْهَا فَإِنَّهُ آثِمٌ قَلْبُهُ وَاللّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ
Wain kuntum AAala safarin walam tajidoo katiban farihanun maqboodatun fain amina baAAdukum baAAdan falyuaddi allathee itumina amanatahu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu wala taktumoo alshshahadata waman yaktumha fainnahu athimun qalbuhu waAllahu bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun
The Aya says:
And if you happened to be traveling and did not find a scribe, then collateral received. So, if you trusted each other, then the one who was trusted shall deliver his safe keep, and he shall make himself conscious of Allah, his nurturing Lord. And do not suppress the testimony, and whoever suppresses her, then, verily, his heart broke God’s law. And Allah, in what you do, all knowing.
My personal note:
The Aya continues that in case of travel and the ability to write a contract of the debt, then leaving a collateral or a pawn will be fine. It then continues with the suggestion that if people trusted each other, then that would be fine. However, it reminds the one who was trusted that he should deliver the debt when the time came. It reminds him to be conscious of Allah and that breaking the trust is a sign that he/she broke God’s law. The Aya ends up reminding us that Allah knows what we do.
Translation of the transliterated words:

Kuntum: you (plural) happened to be
Note: the root is K-W-N and it means being. KUNTUM is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of being happened by the subject (second person plural). This in turn means: you were or you happened to be
AAala: on
Safarin: travel
Note: the root is S-F-R and it means in one of the concrete meanings the wind that blows and therefore exposes something from the dusting that covers it. This is then used to mean exposure and movement from one place to another. This word is used to mean travel here. SAFARIN means travel. Travel is a movement from one place to another and is exposure.
Walam: and not
Tajidoo: you (plural) find
Note: the root is W-J-D and it means in one concrete meaning the water that has accumulated in the desert. This is then used to mean a find that is really important. TAJIDOO is an action that is derived from the root. It means: the action of finding is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural) to the object (katiban that is coming up).
Katiban: a scribe/ a writer
Note: the root K-T-B and it means putting things together as in grouping the herd together or closing the lips or writing (the most common use), because in writing, one puts the letters and the ideas together. KATIBAN means a writer or a scribe.
Farihanun: then pawning/ then leaving collateral
Note: FA means then or therefore or so. RIHANUN is derived from the root R-H-N and it means the leaving of something as a pawn as a reassurance that the debt will be paid back. RIHANUN is pawning or leaving collateral for the debt.
Maqboodatun: received (by the debtor)/in the hand (of the debtor)
Note: the root is Qaf-B-Dhad. It means when the hand is closed in a grip. This then is used to mean receiving a payment or being stingy and so forth according to the plane of thought of the sentence. MAQBOODATUN here means: received or in the hand.
Fain: so if
Amina: became safe/became trusting
baAAdukum: some of you of
Note: the root is B-Ain-Dhad and it means some of the whole. BaAADU means some of. KUM means a plural you.
baAAdan: some
Note: the root is B-Ain-Dhad and it means some of the whole. BaAADAN means some.
Falyuaddi: therefore, he should complete/he should deliver
Note: FA means therefore or so or then. L suggests an obligation. YUADDI is derived from the root Hamza-D-Y and it means in concrete when the milk becomes yoghurt or when the fruit becomes ripe. So, it gets the meaning of completing a task and here the returning of the debt or completing obligations of the deal. YUADDI is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of completing the task is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to ALLATHEE) of the object (AMANATAHU coming up)
Allathee: the one who
Itumina: was trusted/ was felt safe in
Note: the root is Hamza-M-N and it means safe or safety. ITUMINA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of becoming safe happened by an undeclared subject to the object (third person singular). It means: he was trusted or he was being felt safe.
Amanatahu: his safe keep
Note: the root is Hamza-M-N and it means safe or safety. AMANATA means safe keep of. HU means him.
Walyattaqi: and he should be conscious of
Note: WA means and. L suggests an order coming up or some obligation. YATTAQI is edirved from the root W-Qaf-W and it means guarding or protecting. Since the best way to guard is through consciousness, I use the meaning consciousness here. YATTAQI is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making oneself concious is happening by the subject (third person singular) of the object (ALLAH coming up).
Allaha: Allah/God
Rabbahu: his nurturing Lord
Note: Note: the root is R-B-B and it means lordship and nurturing at the same time. It gives authority and nurture at the same time. RABBA means nurturing lord of. HU means him
Wala: and not
Taktumoo: you (plural) suppress/ you conceal
Note: the root is K-T-M and it means in concrete a vine kind of plant that is close to the ground and does not rise on it’s own. In abstract, it means anything that is suppressed so that it is not known or so that it is hidden. TAKTUMOO is an action that is derived from the root and that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of suppressing is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural) to the object (Alshshahadata)
Alshshahadata: the witnessing/ the testimony
Note: the root Sh-H-D and it means witnessing. One concrete meaning is the honey where the wax and the honey are together. Another concrete is the newborn where the baby still has the membranes on him. ALSHSHAHADATA means the witnessing or the testimony.
Waman: and whoever
Yaktumha: suppresses her (the testimony)
Note: the root is K-T-M and it means in concrete a vine kind of plant that is close to the ground and does not rise on it’s own. In abstract, it means anything that is suppressed so that it is not known or so that it is hidden. YAKTUM is an action that is derived from the root and that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of suppressing is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular) to the object HA which means her and points to the testimony
Fainnahu: then, verily he
Athimun: breaking God’s law/ is in error
Note: the root is Hamza-TH-M and it means doing something that is wrong or breaking a law. ATHIMUN is the act of breaking God’s law or being in error by.
Qalbuhu: his heart/ his thought and emotion
Note: the root is Qaf-L-B and it means turning something upside down or in a 180 degree angle. The word is used for emotion and thought or for the heart, because they change often and turn upside down and so forth. QALBU means heart of or thought and emotion of. HU means him or his.
waAllahu: and Allah
bima: in what
Note: Bi signifies that the word that is coming after is either a close accompaniment of the action or tool of the action or the object of the action or any combination of the three together. MA means what.
taAAmaloona: you (plural) do
Note: the root is Ain-M-L and it means doing. TaAAMALOONA is derived from the root and is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of doing is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural)
AAaleemun: all knowing
Note: the root is Ain-L-M and it means knowing or knowledge. AAaLEEMUN is the one that knows a lot, the all knowing
