فَٱسْتَجَابَ لَهُۥ رَبُّهُۥ فَصَرَفَ عَنْهُ كَيْدَهُنَّ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

 

Fastajaba lahu rabbuhu fasarafa AAanhu kaydahunna innahu huwa assameeAAu alAAaleem

 

The Aya says:

So, his nurturing Lord responded to him, so He diverted their scheming from him. He is indeed the listening, the knowing.

 

My personal note:

The Aya tells us that Allah responds to our calls and helps us and He is listening and knowing of us.

 

Translation of the transliterated words:

Fastajaba: So he responded

Note: FA means then or therefore or so.  ISTAJABA is derived from the root J-W-B and it means response or answer to a question or answer to a request. ISTAJABA is an action that happened.  It means: the action of answering happened by the subject (third person singular).

 

Lahu: to him

rabbuhu: his nurturing Lord

Note: RABBUHU is derived from the root R-B-B and it means nurturing and Lordship as two components of the meaning that can be present together or one at a time according to the context of the sentence.   RABBU is nurturing Lord of.  HU means his.

 Fasarafa: so he diverted

Note: FA means therefore or so or then. SARAFA is derived from the root Sad-R-F and it means: the moving or managing of an entity.  SARAFA is an action that is completed.  It means: the action of diverting or channeling the object (KATDAHUNNA= their scheming) happened by the subject (third person singular).

 

AAanhu:  from him

Kaydahunna: their scheming

Note: the root is K-Y-D and it means to plan and start doing something, but not clear if it was done or not/ to nearly do something. For the noun it means scheme.  KAIDA means scheming of.  HUNNA is plural feminine their.

 Innahu: He

Huwa: himself

assameeAAu: the hearing/ the listening

Note: AssameeAAu is derived from the root S-M-Ain and and it means hearing or hearing and understanding or knowing and retaining at the same time. It also can mean hearing and approving or concurring at times. AssameeAAu means the hearing/ the listening

 

alAAaleem: the knowing

Note: the root is Ain-L-M and it means knowing/knowledge or knowledge of facts. ALAALEEMUN means the very knowing or very aware.
