ثُمَّ بَدَا
لَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
Thumma bada lahum min ba'di ma ra’awu lAayaati
layasjununnahu hatta heen
The Aya says:
Then it
became clear to them, after having seen the signs, that they will imprison him
for a while

of the transliterated words:
Thumma: then
Bada: it
became apparent
Note: the
root is B-D-Y or
B-D-W and it means in one
of the concrete words the open desert or wilderness. It also has the meaning of
something exposed or apparent or apparent for the moment. BADA is an action that is completed. It means: the action of becoming apparent
happened to the subject (layasjununna= to imprison).

subject (HU=third person singular) is happening or will be happening by the
subject (third person plural)
