بِئْسَمَا اشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهُمْ أَن يَكْفُرُواْ بِمَآ أنَزَلَ اللَّهُ بَغْياً أَن يُنَزِّلُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ عَلَى مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ فَبَآءُو بِغَضَبٍ عَلَى غَضَبٍ وَلِلْكَافِرِينَ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
Bi/sama ishtaraw bihi anfusahum anyakfuroo bima anzala Allahu baghyan an yunazzilaAllahu min fadlihi AAala man yashaomin AAibadihi fabaoo bighadabin AAalaghadabin walilkafireena AAathabun muheenun
Note:
The Aya says “Hardship is what they took to themselves, that they close their minds at what God made arrive, in an ugly act of immaturity. That GOD made arrive (guidance) of the overflowing of his good to whoever HE (GOD) desires of his servants/slaves, so they (Israelites), came home at anger upon anger, and to the closed minded (of GOD’s messages) suffering that humiliates into suppleness.
My personal note:
This Aya talks about some of the Israelites but applies to all humanity. The Aya says that the person that closes his/her mind at GOD’s message will take hardship.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Bi/sama: Hardship/badness what
Note: the root of this word is B-Hamza-S and it means Lion in the concrete sense. The abstract word is related to the lion and therefore it can mean Hard/Strong (like the lion) of Hardship (if you have to deal with the lion.). The verb means to become hard or experience hardship. BI/SA means Hardship/badness and so forth. MA means what
Ishtaraw: They bought/they took to themselves
Note: The root is SH-R-W and it means to buy or to take something in exchange for something else. The important issue is the taking and the desire for what was taken. ISHTARAW is the third person plural past tense of a verb that is derived from the root and that means Took to themselves.
Bihi: With it/for it
Anfusahum: Themselves
Note: the root is N-F-S and it means breath and it means Self as well. ANFUS is the plural of NAFS and it means Selves. HUM means them.
An: That
Yakfuroo: They refuse/cover themselves in their prejudice/they disbelieve/they close their minds
Note: the root is K-F-R and it means to cover for the concrete. For the abstract it means to refuse since the refuser covers himself in the his own prejudice.
Bima: By what
Anzala: Made arrive
Note: the root is N-Z-L and it means to arrive. ANZALA is the third person singular past tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb means made arrive.
Allahu: The GOD
Baghyan: In immature ugliness
Note: the root is B-Ghayn-W and the concrete word that explains it is young animal or a young immature fruit. The abstract meaning derives from this in two ways Desire (because youth is desirable) and immaturity in a bad way(because youth is immature). One would know the difference according to the words in the sentence. BAGHYAN here would be the immature ugly behavior.

Note: N-Z-L is the root and it means to arrive. YUNAZZILA is the third person singular present tense of a verb that is derived from the same root. This verb means to make arrive.

Note: the root is SH-Y-Hamza and it means to will/desire/want for the verb, and any entity for the noun. YASHAO is the third person singular present tense of the verb

AAibadihi: His slaves/servants and here it means people
Note: the root is Ain-B-D and it means to enslave oneself/to serve for the verb and Slave/servant for the noun. AAiBAD is plural of Slave/servant. HI means His
Fabaoo: So they came home/So they came to position of stay
Note: FA means SO, BAOO is derived from the root B-W-Hamza and it means to come home or to come to a position of stay (since this is a home of sorts).
Bighadabin: By/at anger
Note: BI means By/with/at. GHADAB is derived from the root GH-D-B and it means red fro the concrete meaning and anger for the abstract. GHADAB is anger
AAala: On/upon
Ghadabin: Anger
Walilkafireena: And to the closed minded (To GOD’s message)
Note: Wa means And. LI means to. ALKAFIREEN is derived from the root K-F-R and it means to cover. The abstract means to disbelieve/refuse/close your mind to since in all those situations, one covers oneself from the messages. ALKAFIREEN is plural for those people and I chose closed minded.
AAathabun: Suffering
Note: the root is Ain-TH-B and it means to avoid desirable food or drink (ATHB) because of some suffering. AAaTHAB is the process that makes one avoid the desirable and that is suffering.
Muheenun: That forces suppleness/that humiliates into suppleness
Note: the root is H-W-N and it means to become supple either on one’s own and that is a good thing or to be forced to suppleness and then it is humiliation. MUHEEN means Makes one/forces one to become supple and that is humiliation.
