قُلْ أَؤُنَبِّئُكُم بِخَيْرٍ مِّن ذَلِكُمْ لِلَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا وَأَزْوَاجٌ مُّطَهَّرَةٌ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ
Qul aonabbiokum bikhayrin min thalikum lillatheena ittaqaw AAinda rabbihim jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha waazwajun mutahharatun waridwanun mina Allahi waAllahu baseerun bialAAibadi
The Aya says:
Say (O Muhammad): Do I inform you in better than those (loved entities of 3:14)?! Belongs to those who made themselves conscious, at their Nurturing Lord’s, gardens under which rivers are flowing. They stay unchanged in it, and cleansed mates, and approval lovingly from Allah. And Allah (has) deep insight in the servants.
My personal note:
The Aya mentioned that what God has is better than all the things that were made beautified to man in this life. The consciousness issue includes mainly consciousness in God. However one can add consciousness in oneself including biases and faults and consciousness in society and the environment.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Qul: say
Note: the root is Qaf-WL and it means saying. QUL is an order addressing a single person and it means: Say
Aonabbiokum: do I give you news? / do I inform you (plural)?
Note: the root is N-B-Hamza and it means news as a concept and can be extended to any form of information. AONABBIKUM is a question addressed to a group. It means: Do I inform you (plural)?
Bikhayrin: in better
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. If bi serves as an object of the action that it serves as an emphasis of the action. KHAYR is derived from the root KH-Y-R and it means choice as the concept. It can be extended to mean good or better or best, because that would be the choice. KHAYRIN means better here, but it can also mean better choice.
Min: than/from
Thalikum: those
Note: “those” here is pointing to all the things that people love in this life as mentioned in Aya 3:14.
Lillatheena: belongs to those who
Ittaqaw: they made themselves conscious
Note: the root is W-Qaf-Y and it means guarding or protection. Since the best way to guard is through consciousness, then I chose the meaning of consciousness since it encompasses the concept. ITTAQAW is an action that is completed and that is derived from the text. It means: the action of making conscious happened by the subject (third person plural) to or for the object (who is the same as the subject). This then means: they made themselves conscious.
AAinda: at presence of/ at possession of
Note: AAiNDA means at, but carries the meaning of at, or at presence of or at possession of according to the situation. AAiNDA here means at possession of or presence of.
Rabbihim: their nurturing Lord
Note: Note: the root is R-B-B and it means lordship and nurturing at the same time. It gives authority and nurture at the same time. RABBI means nurturing lord of. HIM means them
Jannatun: Gardens
Note: the root is J-N-N and it means hidden or hiding. It is therefore used to mean darkness because it hides and garden because it is hiding or because it has less light than the place out in the sun for the Arabs of the desert. JANNATUN means: gardens.
Tajree: they flow
Note: the root is J-R-Y and it means flowing as in the flowing of the river or any movement that is smooth and relatively fast. TAJREE is an action that is being completed or will be completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of flowing is happening or will be happening by the subject (ANHARU=rivers and is coming up).
Min: from
Tahtiha: under her/underneath her
Note: the root is T-Ha-T and it means under. TAHTI means under of. HA means her and it points to the garden.
Alanharu: the rivers/the running water
Note: The root is N-H-R and one of the concrete meanings of the word is running water or river. It is then used to mean running or flowing in many other meanings and contexts according to the nature of what is talked about. ALANHARU are the rivers or the running waters.
Khalideena: staying unchanged
Note: the root is KH-L-D and it means something that stays the same. In concrete, it is used for the rocks and the mountains that seem to be unchanged through the ages. KHALIDEENA means staying unchanged.
Feeha: in her
Waazwajun: and spouses/ and entities with whom they are united.
Note: WA means and. AZWAJUN is derived from the root Z-W-J and it means when the two or more become a unit. This is used to mean spouse or a close friend or a group that are united because of sharing features. AZWAJUN here means mainly spouses, however it can be extended to mean entities with whom they are united, which encompasses spouses and more.
Mutahharatun: cleansed
Note: the root is TTa-H-R and it means clean or cleansed in a concrete, spiritual and other senses. MUTAHHARATUN means cleansed in all the ways it means.
Waridwanun: and loving approval/approval lovingly
Note: WA means and. RIDWAN is derived from the root R-Dhad-Y and it means approve lovingly or loving approval. So, it carries the meaning of approving in a stronger term than just merely approving. RIDWAN is loving approval or approval lovingly.
Mina: from
Allahi: Allah
waAllahu: and Allah
baseerun: has deep insight
Note: the root is B-Sad-R and it is the sense of the eye. It also has the meaning of seeing deeply. Seeing deeply means the concrete, but it can be applied to the deep vision of the brain, the insight. BASEERUN means seeing deeply or has deep insight
bialAAibadi: in the slaves/ the servant/ the creation
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. If bi serves as an object of the action that it serves as an emphasis of the action. ALAAiBADI is derived from the root Ain-B-D and it means slave or servant. ALAAiBADI are the slaves or the servants and it is potentially pointing to all of God’s creation since all are His slaves or servants.
