Salaam all
This is 3:11
Kadabi ali firAAawna waallatheena min qablihim kaththaboo biayatina faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim waAllahu shadeedu alAAiqabi
The Aya says:
Like the practice of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They declared untrue Our signs, Therefore Allah took them by their sins, and Allah (is) tight in the consequence.
My personal note:
The Aya mentions that the people of Pharaoh did not accept the signs of God as truth, and they suffered the severe consequences of that action. That can be the ending of people who share that same issue of the people of Pharaoh.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Kadabi: As habit of/ as practice of
Note: KA means as or like. DABI is derived from the root D-Hamza-B and it means habit or practice. DABI means: practice of or habit of.
Ali: people of
Note: the root is Hamza-W-L and it means ultimate as a concept and takes different shapes and specific meanings according to the situation. ALI means: people who ultimately resort to the word that comes next. I shortened it to people of. They could be family of or the people that consider him their ultimate source and order and so forth.
firAAawna: Pharaoh
waallatheena: and those who
min: from
qablihim: before them
Note: the root is Qaf-B-L and it means front. This is then carried in time or space or any plain of thought. QABLI in here means in front of in time and that means before of. HIM means them.
Kaththaboo: they declared a lie/ they refused to accept
Note: the root is K-TH-B and it means a lie or not true. KATHTHABOO is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of making a lie or untrue happened by the subject (third person plural pointing to the unbelievers) to the object (biayatina= our signs coming up). The making untrue or lie would mean declaring untrue of declaring a lie.
Biayatina: Our signs/ in our signs.
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. If bi serves as an object of the action that it serves as an emphasis of the action. AYATINA is derived from the root Hamza-Y-H and it means sign. AYATI means signs of. NA means us.
Faakhathahumu: So, He took them
Note: Fa means therefore. AKHATHAHUMU is derived from the root Hamza-KH-TH and it means taking. AKHATHA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of taking happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah, which is the next word) on the object HUMU which means them.
Allahu: Allah/God
Bithunoobihim: by their sins
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. THUNOOBIHIM is derived from the root TH-N-B and it means tail if spelled THANAB and sin if spelled THANB. It is difficult to know if the two meanings are related. THUNOOBI means sins of. HIM means them.
waAllahu: And Allah
shadeedu: tight of/tight in
Note: The root is SH-D-D and it means tightening for the action and tight for the description. The tight can also extend the meaning to hard and strong and so forth. SHADEEDU means tight in/of or hard or severe.
alAAiqabi: The consequence
Note: the root is Ain-Qaf-B and it means the end of something as the foot or the back of it. This suggests an ending or ending and something that follows it. What follows can be a consequence in addition to other things. ALAAiQABI in this sentence is considered the consequence.
SHADEEDU ALAAiQABI means then: tight in the consequence. This may mean that the negative consequence to sinful actions is going to be hard.
Salaam all and have a great day
Hussein
