Salaam all,
This is the Aya 2:127
وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Wa-ith yarfaAAu ibraheemualqawaAAida mina albayti wa-ismaAAeelu rabbanataqabbal minna innaka anta alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
The Aya says:
And As Abraham and Ishmael raise the bases of the shelter/house: Our nurturer, accept from us, You are the all hearing, the all knowing.
My personal note:
It reminds us that we remember GOD and talk to him as we do any good deed.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Wa-ith: And as
yarfaAAu: Raises
Note: the root is R-F-Ain and it means raising for the noun and to raise for the verb. YARFaAAU is the third person singular (masculine) present tense of the verb.
Ibraheemu: Abraham
alqawaAAida: The bases
Note: the root is Q-Ain-D and it means sitting. The verb means to become sitting/to sit. QAWaAAiD is plural of QAAiDA and that word means the base or where sitting occurs.
Mina: Of/from
Albayti: The house/the shelter
Note: the root is B-Y-T and it means to reach the night and BAYT is the place that you spend the night in. It is also used for any structure that can be used for that purpose and for animal dwellings. Therefore BAYT is closer to a shelter than a house.
wa-ismaAAeelu: And Ishmael
rabbana: Our nurturer
Note: the root is R-B-B and it means to become growing/nurtured and so forth. RABB is the nurturer. NA means our
Taqabbal: Make front/accept
Note: the root is Qaf-B-L and it means Font for the noun and to become front for the verb. Front would be the concrete word and it spans time as earlier and space. In abstract front means acceptance because what you accept you receive with your front. TAQABBAL is an order form of the verb addressing an individual and it means make front and that means accept.
Minna: From us
Innaka: You are
Anta: You (for stress)
alssameeAAu: The all hearing
Note: the root is S-M-Ain and it means hearing for the noun and to become hearing for the verb. ALSAMEEAAu is the one that hears a lot/the all hearing
alAAaleemu: The all knowing
Note: the root is Ain-L-M and it means knowledge. The verb means to become knowing/to arrive at knowledge or to learn. AL AAaLEEM is the one that knows a lot.
Salaam all and have a great day
hussein
