This is 2:154
وَلاَ تَقُولُواْ لِمَنْ يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ بَلْ أَحْيَاء وَلَكِن لاَّ تَشْعُرُونَ
Wala taqooloo liman yuqtalu fee sabeeli Allahi amwatun bal ahyaon walakin la tashAAuroon

The Aya says:
And do not say about who was killed in the way of GOD dead, but alive except that you do not sense (their life)

My personal note:
This Aya means that we all need to be on the way of GOD and move in it all the time. If we get killed while we are on that way, then we will stay alive in a way that others cannot sense.

It could be that the emphasis on the being killed here is because a killed person is always a life cut short.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Wala: And not
Taqooloo: Say/arrive saying
Note: the root is Qaf-W-L and it means saying. TAQOOLOO is the second person plural present or future tense of a verb that is derived from this root. This verb means literally arrive saying, which means Say.
Liman: about who
Yuqtalu: was killed
Note: the root is Qaf-T-L and it means killing. YUQTALU is the third person singular past tense of a verb that is derived from the same root. This verb means was killed.

Sabeeli: Way of
Note: the root is S-B-L and it means way/clear way. SABEELI means way of
Allahi: The GOD
Amwatun: Dead/without life
Note: the root is M-W-T and it means death or without life. AMWATUN means Dead in the plural sense, or without life
bal ahyaon: But living
Note: Bal means but, AHYAON is derived from the root H-Y-W and it means living. AHYAON is the plural of people or entities living.
Walakin: Except
la tashAAuroon: You don’t sense (their life)
Note: La means not. TASHAAuROON is derived from the root SH-Ain-R and it means appendage of the skin as hair and so forth in concrete. In abstract it means sensation because that is one of the functions of the skin and her appendages. TASHAAuROON is the second person plural present or future tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb means literally arrive sensation which means sense.
