2:161

Salaam all,

This is 2:161
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللّهِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoo wahum kuffarun olaika AAalayhim laAAnatu Allahi walmalaikati wannasi ajmaAAeen

The Aya says:
Those that covered (their minds to GOD’s message) and died while still covering (their minds to GOD’s message), those, on them is distancing from the GOD, the messengers including the angels and the people, collectively.

My personal note:
One has to be careful when they decide to close their minds to GOD’s message. One has to be careful closing their minds period, except when one is certain that a particular thing is harmful.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Inna allatheena: Those that (with stress)
Kafaroo: arrived covering (to their minds from the message)/covered their minds to the message.
Note: the root is K-F-R and it means covering the seeds in the earth for the concrete. In abstract it means covering mainly the mind to what is presented. Here, it means covering to GOD’s message. KAFAROO is the third person plural past tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb means, literally Arrived covering and here it means covered (their minds to the message).
Wamatoo: And died
Note: WA means and. MATOO is derived from the root M-W-T and it means death/dying or lack of life. MATOO is the third person plural past tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb means arrived death and that means died.
Wahum: And they/While they
Note: WA means And but at times as in here it means while. HUM means they/them
Kuffarun: Covering
Note: the root is K-F-R and it means covering the seeds in the earth for the concrete. In abstract it means covering mainly the mind to what is presented. Here, it means covering to GOD’s message. KUFFAR are the ones that cover to the message
Olaika: Those
AAalayhim: On them
laAAnatu: distancing/expelling of/from
Note: the root is L-Ain-N and it means distancing or expelling. The concrete word is scarecrow because it keeps away or at a distance the undesirable birds from the field. LaANATU is the distancing of or the expelling of/from
Allahi: The GOD
Walmalaikati: And the angels/the messengers of GOD (including the angels)
Note: the root is L-Hamza-K and it means messaging/sending a message. MALAIKAT are the messengers and it is used for the angels most often, however, it is not limited to the angels.
Wannasi: And the people
Note: WA means And. ANNASI is derived from the root Hamza-N-S and it means socializing. ANNAS are the society/the people that one socializes with and that is the people
ajmaAAeen: Collectively
Note: the root is J-M-Ain and it means collecting together of things or people or whatever. AJMAAeeN means collectively/all together collected.

Salaam all and fave a great day

Hussein
