إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ اللّهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Inna assafa walmarwata min shaAAairi Allahi faman hajja albayta awi iAAtamara fala junaha AAalayhi an yattawwafa bihima waman tatawwaAAa khayran fainna Allaha shakirun AAaleem
The Aya says:
The Safa and Marwa are amongst the signs of the GOD. Therefore, whoever pursue the Shelter or visit it, then there is no deviation on him if he circles by them. And whoever volunteers a good choice, then the GOD is thankful, knowledgeable.
My personal note:
The Aya talks about the Safa Marwa which are both translated as some type of stones each. Muslims are supposed to go back and forth between the two of them. This is to commemorate the memory of Hagar the mother of Ishmael who went between them back and forth looking for water (According to muslim belief)
The Shelter is the way I translated AL BAYT. Another way is THE House. This points to the house that Abraham built for the worship of GOD. Muslims believe that it is the house in Mecca.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Inna assafa: The Safa/The soft stone
Note: INNA is used for stress. ASSAFA is derived from the root Sad-F-W and it means devoid of turbidity or irregularity. It is used for clear water that passed through a Sieve and about a soft textured stone. ASSAFA is also a place in Mecca that is part of the pilgrimage rites and is marked by a stone.
Walmarwata: And MARWA/And the flint stone
Note: WA means And. ALMARWATA is derived from the root M-R-W and it means something hidden inside that one can express. The concrete word is flint stone because it hides fire inside. ALMARWATA here is another place that makes part of the pilgrimage and is marked by a stone of some sort.

Note: the root is SH-Ain-R and it means appendages of the skin as hair and so forth. They are also used to mean signs that lead to someone or something. SHaAAIR is the plural of signs leading to

Note: the root Ha-J-J means pursual of a place or a person and so forth. This pursual is made on certain times and is made for a higher reason as learning new proofs and new knowledge.
Albayta: The house/the shelter
Note: The root is B-Y-T and it means the arrival of the night. ALBAYT is the place where one spends the night and therefore it has the meaning of house and mainly shelter because the shelter is where you spend the safe night.
awi iAAtamara: Or visited/or brought life (through visiting)
Note: AW means or. iAATAMARA is derived from the root Ain-M-R and it means living and life. iAATMARA is the third person singular past tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb literally means make self arrive living to. This means visiting a place because visiting a place brings life to it.
fala junaha: therefore no deviation
Note: FALA means therefore no. JUNAHA is derived from the root J-N-Ha and it means side or wing. JUNAHA is tilt or deviation to one side or another.
AAalayhi: on him

Note: the root is TTa-W-F and it means to go around something in circles so that you get the feeling that you surround it. This is the concrete meaning and the abstract can be related to it especially the meaning of knowing something very well and being keen about it. YATTAWWAFA is the third person singular present or future tense that is derived from the verb. This verb means make self arrive circling. This means he circles
Bihima: By the two of them/going in circles between the two

tatawwaAAa: Makes self agreeable to demand of/Volunteer
Note: The root is TTa-W-Ain and it means being agreeable to demand. This demand can be an order that is physical or otherwise. TATAWWAAa is the third person singular present or future tense of a verb that is derived from the root. This verb literally means make self agreeable to demand of. This in turn means volunteer
Khayran: good choice
Note: the root is KH-Y-R and it means choosing and that means good choice. KHAYRAN is choice and that means good choice.

Note: the root is SH-K-R and it means thanking. SHAKIR is the one that is thankful
AAaleem: knowledgeable
Note: the root is Ain-L-M and it means knowing/knowledge. AAaLEEM is the one that is knowledgeable.
