The Aya says:
The leaders who rejected amongst his community said: “We indeed see you in stupidity and we indeed believe you are amongst the untruthful”
My personal note:
The is the first time I translated QAWM as community but I feel that it may be closer to the intended meaning because QAWM in the Qur’an is used to the people who live in the same place with their varying or opposing points of views. This is different from UMMA where people of the same UMMA share the same views or at least the main ideological views or points of belief and faith and so on.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Qala: He said/ communicated/ responded
Note: QALA is derived from the root Qaf-W-L and it means saying in any way possible. QALA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means the action of saying happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to ALMALAU). This, in turn means: He said or responded or communicated.
Almalao: the big group/ the leaders/ the elite
Note: the root is M-L-Hamza and it means full or fullness. ALMALAO in this context points to the big group or to the elite of the group because they are full of what the society needs and so on.
Allatheena: those who
Kafaroo: rejected (Allah and His message)/ discarded
Note: the root is K-F-R and it means cover or bury in the ground, as in put the seed in the ground and cover it. This is then used conceptually for many purposes as in discarding and rejecting as well as burying. KAFARO is an action that is completed. It means: the action of rejection or discarding of the object (not declared, but understood from the context to point to God and/or the message) happened by the subject (third person plural).
Min: of
Qawmihi: his people/ group/ community
Note: the root is Qaf-Y-M and it means standing or standing upright. ALQAWM are the people that stand together and that makes the group or people or nation, basically, any group of people that stand together based on location rather than ideologiy or ideas. QAWMI means people of/ HI means him and points to Noah.
Inna: We
Lanaraka: indeed see you (singular)
Note: LA is for emphasis of what comes next. NARAKA is derived from the root R-Hamza-Y and it means viewing or seeing. NARAKA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. Note: the root is S-F-H and it means weighing light or light weight and the light weight can conceptually cover all aspects. In the Qur’an, it is used to mean light weight in the mental and spiritual manner or otherwise. Here, the context points to mental power or mental and psychological power. SAFAHATAN means an act of stupidity or foolishness or any lack of thinking or serious contemplation.

Lanathunnuka: indeed think/ suspect/ believe
Note: LA is for emphasis of what comes next. NATHUNNUKA is derived from the root Tha-N-N and it means conclusion without certainty or conclusion without verification. Therefore, it includes theory, suspicion and all thoughts that are not conclusively proven. NATHUNNAKA is an action that is happening or will be happening. It means: the action of thinking the object (KA= singular you) is happening or will be happening and with stress.

Alkathibeena: the untruthful/ the liers
Note: KATHIBEEN is derived from the root K-TH-B and it means a untrue. Conceptually, it can be extended at times to mean a lie, although the core of the meaning is untruth, whether it is a lie or not, conscious or not. KATHIBEENA are the untruthful ones or the ones who lie.

Waila AAadin akhahum hoodan qala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona
The Aya says:
And to Aaad, their brother Hood. He said: O my people worhsip Allah, you have no other entity worthy of worship other than Him. Therefore would you not make yourselves act consciously?!
My personal note:
The prophet mentioned here is Hood with the two Os sounding like the two Os in “cool” rather than the two Os in “Wood”. He is mentioned in the Qur’an and not the bible and was believed to have lived in Southern Arabia.
The term “Afala Tattaqqon” is a term that can mean “Would you not make yourselves act consciously?!” or “Why would you not make yourself consciously?!” or both

One concrete use of the term is the word Road that is MUAAaBBAD and is used for the road that had been made easy to use and smooth for the people to walk on without hindrance. Conceptually, the term is then used for humbleness and submission. It is used for slave and servant because of their humbleness and submission in relation to the master and that is the essence of worship with the understanding that one humbles himself and submits when in awe of the greatness of the entity and when in love with the entity and Allah is deserving of both. oAABUDOO is an order addressing a plural. It means worship or submit and humble yourselves to.

Fakaththaboohu faanjaynahu waallatheena maAAahu fee alfulki waaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo biayatina innahum kanoo qawman Aaameena
The Aya says:
So, they declared him false, so We saved him and the ones with him in the ship, while we made those who rejected our signs drown. They indeed were blind people.
My personal note:
The Aya continues the theme that Allah does not leave the people who follow his messages hanging and will support them as they persevere through hardship. The message of Allah to those who follow him is certainly Hope that we should always keep and maintain as we persevere through hardship.

Note: FA means then or therefore or so. KATHTHABOO is derived from the root K-TH-B and it means a untrue. Conceptually, it can be extended at times to mean a lie, although the core of the meaning is untruth, whether it is a lie or not, conscious or not. KATHTHABOO is an action that is completed. It means: the action of making an object (HU=him poiting to Noah) untrue happened by the subject (third person plural). In this context, “making Noah untrue” means actually declaring what he said untrue or denying truthfulness or strongly rejecting it .
Faanjaynahu: So We saved him
Note: FA means then or therefore or so. ANJAYNAHU is derived from the root N-J-W and it means to come out of a tight situation or place or otherwise according to the situation. It is used to mean saving from a bad place but it can mean other things according to the context. One of the derivatives of the word is NAJWA which means the thing that people keep tightly held and that is their secret. ANJAYNAHU is completed. It means: the action of saving or rescuing or making the object (HU= him pointing to Noah) slip out of a tight situation happened by the subject (first person plural).

Note: ALFULKI is derived from the root F-L-K and it means orbit as the orbit of the planets and so forth or anything that moves in circles, including the waves of the sea because they go in circles around themselves. ALFULKI is the name of the ships because they ride the waves or float just like something that is swimming in an orbit.
Waaghraqna: and We caused drowning
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. Li means to or in order to. AGHRAQNA is derived from the root Ghain-R-Qaf and it means drowning in water. AGHRAQNA is an action that is completed. It means: the action of making the object (Allatheen = those who) drown happened by the subject (first person plural).
