The aya says:
Verily, those who reject Allah’s signs and kill the prophets without binding right, and kill those who order to implement by the justice amongst the people, then bring news of painful suffering to them.
My personal note:
The Aya warns those who reject the message of God and proceed to kill the prophets as well as the people that want to establish just society. It warns them of painful suffering.

My personal note:
Committing means that he is ready to receive his Lord and his message, since the face is what receives and meets and accepts. The Aya also points to the fact that the message is to be delivered to it’s destination, the people, and that is the job of the prophet and of us as his followers.
I want to add that the face brings about a sense of direction that one is facing and a reception or a readiness to receive. So, when the prophet says “I committed my face to Allah”, he is saying I am committing myself in Allah’s direction and I am ready to receive Him and His message at the same time.

So, if they committed themselves to God's path, then they have guided themselves, and if they followed their own direction, then your obligation, (is) only the delivery of the message, and Allah (has) deep insight in the servants.
My personal note:
Committing means that he is ready to receive his Lord and his message, since the face is what receives and meets and accepts. The Aya also points to the fact that the message is to be delivered to it’s destination, the people, and that is the job of the prophet and of us as his followers.
I want to add that the face brings about a sense of direction that one is facing and a reception or a readiness to receive. So, when the prophet says “I committed my face to Allah”, he is saying I am committing myself in Allah’s direction and I am ready to receive Him and His message at the same time.

My personal note:
Allah is quick to account means mainly that God can count any deed or act of any person in order to make them accountable for it with justice.
ISLAM is usually translated as submission to God. I translated as commitment to God’s path. I chose commitment because it carries the voluntary nature of the submission. Submission alone may carry an involuntary nature within the meaning. A Muslim voluntarily commits himself/herself to God’s path.
So, the obligation of the people towards God is the commitment to His path, and that is Islam.

Shahida Allahu annahu la ilaha illa huwa waalmalaikatu waoloo alAAilmi qaiman bialqisti la ilaha illa huwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu
The Aya says:
Allah witnessed that no one (is) worthy of worship but HE. And so did the angels, and the people of knowledge. He (is) standing upright/ maintaining by the justice. No one (is) worthy of worship but HE, the irresistibly strong, the wise.
My personal note:
I will bring the attention to the last two words ALAAaZIZU ALHAKEEM. They combine two very important meanings and the meanings come together. The first tells about strength that is irresistible which can scare people and the second calms people because of the message that this strength is associated with wisdom. Wisdom combines all the important aspects of making decision, including strength, knowledge, justice and compassion.

The Aya says:
Allah witnessed that no one (is) worthy of worship but HE. And so did the angels, and the people of knowledge. He (is) standing upright/ maintaining by the justice. No one (is) worthy of worship but HE, the irresistibly strong, the wise.
My personal note:
I will bring the attention to the last two words ALAAaZIZU ALHAKEEM. They combine two very important meanings and the meanings come together. The first tells about strength that is irresistible which can scare people and the second calms people because of the message that this strength is associated with wisdom. Wisdom combines all the important aspects of making decision, including strength, knowledge, justice and compassion.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Shahida: He witnessed
Note: the root is Sh-H-D and it means witnessing. One concrete meaning is the honey where the wax and the honey are together. Another concrete is the newborn where the baby still has the membranes on him. As if in both situations, the wax and the membranes are witnesses to the truth. SHAHIDA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of witnessing happened by the subject (third person singular).

This continues the theme that was started in 3:15 and it gives further features of those people who will be close to God.

My personal note:
I used protective covering for IGHFIR because it comes from the helmet of the soldier. When we ask God for Ghufran, we are asking for this protective covering. This is protection from committing the error and from the consequences of error and that is the forgiveness part of the protective covering.

Say (O Muhammad): Do I inform you in better than those (loved entities of 3:14)?! Belongs to those who made themselves conscious, at their Nurturing Lord’s, gardens under which rivers are flowing. They stay unchanged in it, and cleansed mates, and approval lovingly from Allah. And Allah (has) deep insight in the servants.
My personal note:
The Aya mentioned that what God has is better than all the things that were made beautified to man in this life. The consciousness issue includes mainly consciousness in God. However one can add consciousness in oneself including biases and faults and consciousness in society and the environment.

This Aya reminds us of the things that we love in this life. It reminds us that they are tools to reach our goals. It also reminds us that the beauty or goodness of the return is with God. That should be our goal.

The Aya mentions that the people of Pharaoh did not accept the signs of God as truth, and they suffered the severe consequences of that action. That can be the ending of people who share that same issue of the people of Pharaoh.

My personal note:
I did change the sequence of the words in the translation from the original Arabic. I was afraid that the sentence structure in this case is very different in Arabic from English and translating in accurate sequence may lead to more confusion than clarity.
This is a reminder to all of us that our need to Allah is absolute. The things that make us proud, our money and our children, will never free us of any need from God. We will always be needy of God’s help and He will always be our provider. The believer accepts that he or she is needy of Allah, while the rejecter does not acknowledge it nor accepts it.
The Aya mentions that the ones that reject God and his message will always need Allah and will end up being the fuel of the fire, which is Hell.
