3:25

Salaam all,

This is 3:25
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَاهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ لاَّ رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ
Fakayfa itha jamaAAnahum liyawmin la rayba feehi wawuffiyat kullu nafsin ma kasabat wahum la yuthlamoona

The Aya says:
So how (about) if/ when we gathered them to a day, no doubt in him, and every self was made to meet her dues of what she earned?! And they will not be treated unfairly.

My personal note:
This Aya reminds us that God is Just. It also reminds us that all what we do is going to be accounted for in front of God. It has a suggestion that many people’s actions are going to have negative effects on them.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Fakayfa: So, how?!
Itha: if/ when
jamaAAnahum: we gathered them
Note: the root is J-M-Ain and it means gather the different parts together or putting things together. JAMaAANA is an action that is completed and that is derived from the root. It means: the action of gathering together happened by the subject (Third person plural pointing to God in a Royal sense or to God and the angels) to the object HUM which means them.
Liyawmin: to a day
Note: Li means to. YAMIN is derived from the root Y-W-M and it means day. YAWIM means a day and it spans a day and night cycle.
La: no
Rayba: doubt or disturbance
Note: the root is R-Y-B and it means doubt mixed with disturbance or suspecting badness. RAYBA means doubt or disturbance or a combination of the two
Feehi: in him
Wawuffiyat: And was made to meet her due
Note: WA means and. WUFFIYAT is derived from the root W-F-Y and it means meeting dues. WUFFIYAT is an action that is derived from the root and that is completed. It means: the action of making dues being met happened by an undisclosed subject on the object (third person singular feminine and points to Kullu nafsin= every self, coming up).
Kullu: every/ each
Note: the root is K-L-L and it means the parts put together. This is the concrete and it means all or every or each. KULLU means each or every in this situation.
Nafsin: Self
Note: NAFS means a self. It is a derivative of the root N-F-S and it means to breath. NAFSIN is a noun that is derived from this root and it means SELF.
Ma: What
Kasabat: She earned/she collected
Note: the root is K-S-B and it means earning or collecting. KASABAT is an action that is completed and that is derived from the root. It means: the action of earning of collecting happened by the subject (third person singular feminine pointing to Nafsin)
Wahum: and they
La: not
Yuthlamoona: will be transgressed against/will be treated unfairly
Note: the root is THa-L-M and it means darkness. This is one of the concrete meanings and it is used to mean decisions made in darkness which include transgression and displacement of right and wrong. YUTHLaMOONA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of being transgressing is happening or will be happening by the subject (undisclosed) to the object (third person plural). This in turn means: they will not be transgressed against or they will not be treated unfairly.

Salaam all and have a great day

Hussein
