Salaam all,

This is 3:39
فَنَادَتْهُ الْمَلآئِكَةُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي فِي الْمِحْرَابِ أَنَّ اللّهَ يُبَشِّرُكَ بِيَحْيَـى مُصَدِّقًا بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنَ اللّهِ وَسَيِّدًا وَحَصُورًا وَنَبِيًّا مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Fanadathu almalaikatu wahuwa qaimun yusallee fee almihrabi anna Allaha yubashshiruka biyahya musaddiqan bikalimatin mina Allahi wasayyidan wahasooran wanabiyyan mina alssaliheena

The Aya says:
So, the angels called him while standing, praying in the place of prayer, that Allah is bringing you good news of Yahya (John), making true by statement from Allah and a master, and a limiter (of sin) and a prophet, among the ones of benefit/ the righteous.

My personal note:
The statement Musaddiqan bikalimatin min Allah was translated by me as making true by statement from Allah. This passage can carry many meanings that are not mutually exclusive. They include:

1- Declaring true words of Allah.
2- Carrying the words of Allah with truth and by truth.
3- Declaring true Jesus and his message. This is because Jesus was mentioned in the Qur’an as a statement or word from God. However, Muslims understand this statement that Jesus was created by a word from God, and not that Jesus was the word himself. That word was BE and he became being.


Translation of the transliterated words:
Fanadathu: So, they called him
Note: FA means so or therefore or then. NADATHU is derived from the root N-D-Y and it means in concrete dew or water touching a surface. It is also used for voice arriving to an entity. In both, the shared meaning is something touching or arriving at another entity. In this instance, it is the calling. NADAT is an action that is completed. It means: the action of voice arriving happened by the subject (third person plural feminine pointing to angels) in an interactive pattern to the object HU which means him. This interactive pattern takes the meaning of calling him and expecting him to respond.
Almalaikatu: the angels/ the messengers
Note: the root is L-Hamza-K and it means messenger. ALMALAIKATU are the messengers and is used for the angels since they are the messengers of God to his people and messengers.
Wahuwa: while he/ and he
Qaimun: Standing upright
Note: the root is Qaf-W-M and it means stand upright. This word then takes meanings according to the plane of thought that is being mentioned, including meaning of standing but also maintaining or keeping something standing and functioning and so forth. QAIMUN is a word that explains a state of being. It means standing upright and within that meaning.
Yusallee: praying
Note: the root is Sad-L-W and it means the lower back in the concrete. MUSALLI is the horse that is in the race whose face is approaching the lower back of the horse ahead. SALAT means prayer in other languages of Semitic origin. YUSALLI is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means that the action of praying is being performed by the subject (third person singular pointing to Zachariah).
Fee: in
Almihrabi: the most important place/ the place of prayer
Note: The root Ha-R-B and it means war or distancing and separation. It also means the person’s money or the most important place in the house. The word then means war and the belongings of the person that makes it worth it to go to war over. ALMIHRAB is used to mean the most private part of the house, or the most important part of the house and the place of prayer is included within that meaning.
Anna: that
Allaha: Allah
Yubashshiruka: He brings you good news/ He makes good news or glad tidings come to you
Note: the root B-SH-R and it means the outer skin. This is also a sign of beauty and good news in the abstract. YUBASHSHIR is an action that is completed. It means: the action of making good news arrive to the object KA which means singular you happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to God).
Biyahya: with Yahya/ with John/ of John
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. If bi serves as an object of the action then it serves as an emphasis of the action. The action here is the making of good news come. YAHYA is the name of John the Baptist.
Musaddiqan: making true/ declaring true
Note: the root is Sad-D-Qaf and it means true or truthful act. MUSADDIQAN is a person who makes true. This can take the meaning of making true on a promise or declaring true another issue or both at the same time.
Bikalimatin: By/ with statement
Note: Bi suggests that what comes after it is either an association with the action, a tool of the action or an object of the action or any combination of the three. If bi serves as an object of the action then it serves as an emphasis of the action. The action here is the making true. KALIMATIN is derived from the root K-L-M and it means wound or opening of the skin and that is the concrete word. It is also used to mean words or statements because those are the products of the opening of the mouth, which is an opening of the skin. KALIMATIN is a word or statement.
Mina: from/of
Allahi: Allah
Wasayyidan: And a master
Note: WA means and. SAYYIDAN is derived from the root S-W-D and it means black or the opposite of white in one of the concrete derivations. It also carries the meaning of majority of a group or an entity. The two may be related somehow. SAYYIDAN is one who rules over a majority and that means a master or a leader or someone with honor.
Wahasooran: and one who puts (sin) in siege
Note: WA means and. HASOORAN is derived from the root is Ha-Sad-R and it means limit or limiting or limited. It can take the meaning of being in a state of siege or prison or anything that makes an entity limited in it’s scope or ability. HASORAN is the one who limits an entity or entities. In this case, it may take the meaning of one who limits sin or puts sin in siege.
Wanabiyyan: and prophet
Note: Wa means and. NABIYYAN is derived from either one of two roots. The first is N-B-Hamza and it means news. The other is N-B-Y and it means elevated. The word NABIYY means a prophet, and it could be because the prophet brings news or that he is elevated over others or both. NABIYYAN means: and a prophet.
Mina: of/ from/ amongst
Alssaliheena: the ones of benefit/ the righteous
Note: the root is Sad-L-Ha and it means becoming helpful or useful in a good direction. This means mainly: becoming one of benefit as in benefiting oneself and others. Included in this meaning is becoming fixed after having been broken. ALSSALIHEENA are the ones of benefit/ the ones who benefit others and themselves.
