The Aya says:
Those are the truly trusting, belongs to them levels at their nurturing Lord’s and protective cover and generous provisions.
My note:
The Aya does define that the previous Ayat gives us the elements that should exist in the person who has Iman (Safety and trust in Allah) and that it is in levels so not an issue of yes or no but of degrees.

The Aya says:
Those who establish/ maintain the ritual prayer and from what We provided them they spend.
My personal note:
This Aya established that Iman is not only by saying that I have Iman or belief or whatever but that it should be supported by two very important actions, the ritual prayer and the charity. Those two actions are essential because the ritual prayer is for the health of the relationship between the person and God while the charity is for the health of the community. So, a community cannot be healthy and thriving without charity.
Translation of the transliterated words:

Innama almuminoona allatheena itha thukira Allahu wajilat quloobuhum waitha tuliyat AAalayhim ayatuhu zadathum eemanan waAAala rabbihim yatawakkaloona
The Aya says:
The ones who make themselves safe (in Allah) are only those whose hearts flutter when Allah is mentioned and whose safety and trust (in him) is increased whenever His signs are recited/ followed upon them and upon their nurturing Lord they depend.
My personal note:
The Aya defines the conditions for someone who has Iman which I translated as ones who make themselves safe in Allah but it can also be translated who are working towards that safety and also towards the trust in Allah. The conditions are:
1- That the hearts react to the mention of Allah and that reaction is because of love mixed with excitement and also awe.
2- The recitation or following closely of His signs increase their safety and trust in Him and that means not only the listening to the signs but the application of the signs makes their safety and trust in Allah increase.
3- That they put their guarantees on Allah that after they have done their part, they will leave the matter in His hands and He will take care of the rest.
May Allah always increase our Iman and help us move towards Him closer and Closer.

Yasaloonaka AAani alanfali quli alanfalu lillahi waalrrasooli faittaqoo Allaha waaslihoo thata baynikum waateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu in kuntum mumineena
The Aya says:
They ask you (singular) about the additional gains, respond: “The additional gains belong to Allah and the messenger, therefore be mindful of Allah and make harmony between you and obey Allah and His messenger if you happen to be working on safety/ trust.
My personal note:
The word ANFAL points to something beyond the base or the original and so it can point to any gain above what is considered the baseline. According to the people of the books of Tafsir they understood it to mean the war gains vs the portion of the war gains that is beyond what the fighters should keep to themselves vs other gains and all the understandings are possible and not mutually exclusive.
One question would then come as to what does it mean to say that they belong to Allah and this is understood as they need to be spent in the causes that Allah ordered in His book mainly to be sources of support to the poor and needy.
In the same light the messenger is understood as the executive branch of government to spend this money in the matter that is needed to best run the government in light of the example of the prophet upon him be peace.
The Aya also brings about three conditions that prove the Iman (safety and trust in Allah) and those are being mindful of Allah, making harmony in the community and also obeying Allah and His messenger.

The Aya is a reminder that those who are closest to Allah worship Him. It is therefore a message to us humans that no one should see himself or herself as being higher or above worshipping Allah.

The Aya says:
And mention/ remember (singular) your nurturing Lord in yourself pleasdingly and fearing and short of loud speech in the beginnings of the day and the ends of the day, and do not be amongst the ones who do not pay attention.
My personal note:
The Aya gives an order to a singular and that is understood as the prophet Muhammad upon him be peace but it is also addressing each one of us singularly as well.
The fearing component can cover two fears:
1- Fearing anything and therefore Allah helps you with the fear in giving you peace because the Qur’an also says “ Indeed by remembering Allah the hearts reach peace”
2- Fearing Allah and in here it should be within the context of Loving Him and fearing Him and having hope in His Grace at the same time but should never be fear alone.
The new word in the Aya is ASAL which I translated as the ends of the day because the word is derived from the root ASL which means the lowest of the entity and at the end of the day the sun is at low level in the sky. In other contexts that root means the root of the tree and the basement of the house or the foundation of the house. In terms of ideas and opinions the ASL the basis on which one builds their opinions.

And if and when the Qur’an is recited then listen to it and pay close attention in the hope that you will be covered with mercy.
My personal note:
The message here is for listening to the Qur’an whenever we hear it recited and to pay attention by not indulging in other activities at the time.
According to the pay of books of Tafsir, one of the areas of most importance is to listen and be quite when theQur’an is recited while praying the prayer where the Imam recites the Qur’an for all to hear. It is a message to the ones behind him not to make noises of whatever kind and to listen and help others listen as well.

The Aya says:
And when you (O Muhammad) did not bring them a sign they said: why did you not work on bringing it. Respond: “I only follow what is inspired towards me from my nurturing Lord. This is insights from your nurturing Lord and guidance and grace to people who seek safety”.
My personal note:
There is a new word here and that is IJTABAYTAHA which I translated as “Work on brining it”. The term is derived from the root J-B-W or Y and it means collecting and gathering something. In concrete it is used for bringing the water from a source and put it in a pool or container for the animals to drink. Waikhwanuhum yamuddoonahum fee alghayyi thumma la yuqsiroona
The Aya says:
While their brothers, they extend them in the misguidance/ demise then they will not hold back.
My personal note
This contrasts the people who act according to their consciousness of Allah that were mentioned in the previous Aya to the people that are called “Their brothers”.
This group is the contrast because they are not protected by the consciousness and so they are vulnerable to the temptations of Satan and his ilk that will never cease. Their only protection is then to return to Allah and build that consciousness of Him and ask for his aid.
The question of “Their brothers” as in brothers of whom and one can understand it in two ways that are not mutually exclusive:
1- Brother of Satan and his ilk as in their allies and the humans who listen and act according to his whisperings.
2- The brother as the contrast or opposite to the other humans who are guided in their life by God’s consciousness.
May Allah always help us be guided by His consciousness.

Inna allatheena ittaqaw itha massahum taifun mina alshshaytani tathakkaroo faitha hum mubsiroona
The Aya says:
Indeed, those who acted consciously , if and when they are touched by an urge from Satan reminded themselves, then they are seeing.
My personal note:
The Aya brings about the issues of urges and flighty ideas that may hit us here and there that lead us to bad decisions. It reminds us that the ones who are guided by their consciousness of Allah will most of the time remind themselves and therefore they will mostly act with vision and insight into things rather than being led by urges.
It is a message for all of us to have control over our urges and to move from acting in a reactionary manner to acting in a deliberate manner with our aim and center of action as Allah.

Waimma yanzaghannaka mina alshshaytani nazghun faistaAAith biAllahi innahu sameeAAun AAaleemun
The Aya says:
And If you are prompted by a prompt from Satan, then seek refuge by Allah. He is indeed listening, knowing.
My personal note:
The Aya points to the botherings and prompts from Satan and that once we feel it then we need to seek refuge by Allah for He protects us from them and keeps us on the safe side. Of course the thing for us is to remember to seek that refuge.
The new word here is NAZGH and is derived from when you are hit but a thorm or an irritant that you may feel a compelling reason to respond somehow to prevent it or move from it. The term is used for the promptings of satan to make us have animosity between humans for things that are not worth fighting for or to respond in a reactive manner to the trespasses of others against us and in a way that ends up being harmful. For satan does not only work to damage our relationship with God but also our relationships with other human beings.

And If you are prompted by a prompt from Satan, then seek refuge by Allah. He is indeed listening, knowing.
My personal note:
The Aya points to the botherings and prompts from Satan and that once we feel it then we need to seek refuge by Allah for He protects us from them and keeps us on the safe side. Of course the thing for us is to remember to seek that refuge.
The new word here is NAZGH and is derived from when you are hit but a thorm or an irritant that you may feel a compelling reason to respond somehow to prevent it or move from it. The term is used for the promptings of satan to make us have animosity between humans for things that are not worth fighting for or to respond in a reactive manner to the trespasses of others against us and in a way that ends up being harmful. For satan does not only work to damage our relationship with God but also our relationships with other human beings.
Translation of the transliterated words:

alshshaytani: Satan/ the one that is displaced from God’s mercy and works on displacing others.
Note: the root is SH-Ta-N and it means in one of the concrete meanings the long rope and in another the long rope at the well that one uses to get the bucket out of the water. The term is used to mean far and away (in all the planes of thought) as the long rope and it is also used for displacement or pulling away, as a parallel to the rope that pulls the bucked out of the water. ALSHAITAN is the one who is far or away (from God’s mercy) and who works at pulling others away through his long “rope”. It is the word used from Satan.

The Aya says:
(O Muhammad) take the ease/ forgiveness and enjoin the good and avoid the ignorant.
My personal note:
The term khuth al afwaa has many potential interpretations. The term AAFWA can carry the meaning or something that is erased and that applies to forgiveness as in nothing happened to hurt my feelings any more and so on. It also carries to anything that is provided by others that does not put burden on them and that applies to charity that is easily affordable for the person but also any good gestures and good manners that do not cost the person anything.
The Aya is then asking the prophet upon him be peace to forgive but also to accept anything that is given by others whether good gestures of good manners or good offerings.
The term mur bialaaurf also carries with it to enjoin what is considered as good by the society with the understanding that there are universal matters that are considered good by all people and that we as muslims abide by them as well.
The last statement points to moving away or avoiding those who are ignorant and who are saying things out of their ignorance rather than them showing interest in correcting their ignorance.

The relationship between the two meanings is if you have an abundance of something then you may not feel a particular loss just as the footprint is lost through the abundance of sand. And if you call them towards the guidance, they do not listen/ respond. And you see them looking towards you while they do not see.

This continues the theme of worshipping idols that have eyes but they cannot see with them and may have ears but cannot hear or listen through them.
