أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُواْ مِنكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Am hasibtum an tadkhuloo aljannata walamma yaAAlami Allahu allatheena jahadoo minkum wayaAAlama alssabireena

The Aya says:
Or, did you (plural) think that you will enter the garden/hidden entity, while Allah has not yet known factually, those who exerted effort opposite resistance amongst you, and know factually, the ones who self restrain?

My personal note:
The Aya makes it important that we exert effort opposite resistance or struggle in the path of God. It also brings the importance of patience and self restraint.
The word that I translated into effort opposite resistance is JAHADOO. This word is often used for fighting. While fighting can be included within the struggle opposite resistance, our life is full of other struggles. One of those struggles come from within our own resistance to complying with His ordinances. This is also important since the Aya also includes “the ones who self restrain or who are patient”. As if to bring to our attention that the first struggle and resistance is against the self desires and biases that are directing us in the wrong direction. Self restraint and patience is also important when dealing with outside influences and aggressions.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Am: or
Hasibtum: you (plural) calculated/ measured/thought
Note: the root is Ha-S-B and it means calculation. This word then takes many other meanings according to the plane of thought that is talked about. It takes the form of thought and so forth. HASIBTUM is an action that is completed. It means: the action of calculation/measure/ thought happened by the subject (second person plural).

Tadkhuloo: You (plural) enter
Note: the root is D-KH-L and it means entering. TADKHULOO is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of entering is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural).
Aljannata: the garden/ the hidden entity
Note: the root is J-N-N and it means hidden or hiding. It is therefore used to mean darkness because it hides as well as garden because gardens can be hidden or because it has less light than the place out in the sun for the Arabs of the desert. ALJANNATA means: the garden/ the hidden entity.
Walamma: and not yet/ while not yet
yaAAlami: He knows in fact/ He knows factually
Note: YaAALAMI is derived from the root Ain-L-M and it means knowledge or knowledge of facts. YaAALAMI is an action that is happening or will be happening. It means: the action of knowledge of facts is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah, coming up next).
Allahu: Allah
Allatheena: those who
Jahadoo: struggled/ exerted effort opposite resistance/ fought
Note: JAHADOO is derived from the root J-H-D and it means exerting effort. JAHADOO is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. This is an interactive action that means they exert effort opposite resistance. This is a wide meaning and one of them may include fighting. However the resistance can come in all forms including psychological and personal. Fighting is included in the meaning in this context, but not limited to it.
Minkum: from you (plural)/ amongst you
wayaAAlama: and he knows in fact, and He knows factually
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. YaAALAMA is derived from the root Ain-L-M and it means knowledge or knowledge of facts. YaAALAMA is an action that is happening or will be happening. It means: the action of knowledge of facts is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah) of the object (Alssabireena= the patient/ the self restrained).
Alssabireena: The ones who self restrain/ the ones who are patient.
Note: the root is Sad-B-R and it means jail or prison. The word is used to mean patience and restraint at the same time, since both are about imprisoning our negative emotions, thoughts, and the push to act uninhibited. ALSSABIREENA are the ones who self restrain or the ones who are patient.
