وَلاَ يَحْزُنكَ الَّذِينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئاً يُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَلاَّ يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
Wala yahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufri innahum lan yadurroo Allaha shayan yureedu Allahu alla yajAAala lahum haththan fee alakhirati walahum AAathabun AAatheemun

The Aya says:
And the ones who hurry in the rejection should not sadden you (singular pointing to Muhammad pbuh). They indeed will never harm Allah a thing. Allah seeks not to make for them a grasped opportunity in the hereafter, and to them belongs great suffering.

My personal note:
This Aya reassures the prophet pbuh that no one will harm God through rejection.

It carries also the issue of God wanting them not to have an opportunity in the hereafter. This is the response to their rejection and not the intent of God from the beginning, therefore they bear the responsibility for this predicament that they put themselves in. It is also to be understood that this closure of opportunity is reversible whenever the person moves away from his/her rejection and into acceptance and safety in God.

The third issue here is that this is all in God’s knowledge and it is not up to humans to decide who of the other humans fall into this category, no matter how much animosity to Allah they showed. The great scholars of Islam always were in agreement never to condemn a particular person to Hell unless condemned by Allah in the Qur’an. The scholars condemn the actions that lead to Hell but they do not point to particular persons.

Translation of the transliterated words:

Wala: and not
Yahzunka: makes you (singular) sad
Note: the root is Ha-Z-N and it means sadness/ being worried or being sorry. All the meanings are related in the sense of sadness or anxiety and regret at the same time. YAHZUNKA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making the object (KA= singular you) sad or regret or worry is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person plural or singular pointing to Allatheena= those who).
Allatheena: those who
yusariAAoona: hurry
Note: the root is S-R-Ain and it means quick and fast. The concrete words related to this root include the neck and the back of the horse where one taps to make them go faster. YUSARIAAooNA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of hurrying or being fast is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person plural).

Alkufri: the rejection
Note: LKUFR is derived from the root K-F-R and it means burying the seed in the ground for planting. It is used to mean rejection of an idea because that means covering the brain in the ground from the idea or covering the idea so that it is not known or seen. ALKUFR means the rejection.
Innahum: they indeed
Lan: never
Yadurroo: will they harm/ will they cause harm/ will they cause no benefit
Note: the root is Dhad-R-R and it means harm or no benefit. YADURROO is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of causing harm or lack of benefit is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person plural) to the object (Allah, coming next). LAN YADURROO ALLAHA means: They will never cause harm to Allah.
Allaha: Allah
Shayan: entity/ anything
Note: the root is SH-Y-Hamza and it means entity. SHAYAN means entity. It is taken here to mean a thing.
Yureedu: He seeks/ wants/ desires
Note: the root is R-W-D and it means I concrete the person that goes ahead of the people looking for resources. Therefore, the word has within it the meanings of pioneering, seeking and desiring. YUREED is an action that is being completed or will be completed that is derived from the root. It means that the action making seeking/desiring/wanting is happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah). This in turn means: He desires/He wants and He seeks.
Allahu: Allah
Alla: that not
yajAAala: He makes
Note: YAJaAALA is derived from the root J-Ain-L and it means making. YAJaAALA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular) pointing to Allah.
Lahum: to them/ for them
Haththan: grasped opportunity/ luck
Note: the root is Ha-Tha-THA and it means luck or grasped opportunity. HATHTHAN is a grasped opportunity or luck
Fee: in
Alakhirati: the remaining life/ the hereafter
Note: the root Hamza-KH-R and it means remaining. ALAKHIRATI means the remaining or the later. This, in turn means the later life or the life after death.
Walahum: and to them belongs
AAathabun: suffering
Note: the root is Ain-TH-B and it means an easy to swallow food or drink. AAaTHAB is what makes one not take an easy to swallow food or drink. That is suffering.
AAatheemun: great
Note: the root is Ain-TH-M and it means great/hard/strong. The concrete word is AAaTHM and that is the bones or the hard/strong/firm core of things. AAaTHEEM means great.
