This is 3:179
مَّا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيَذَرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّىَ يَمِيزَ الْخَبِيثَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبِ وَمَا كَانَ اللّهُ لِيُطْلِعَكُمْ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ وَلَكِنَّ اللّهَ يَجْتَبِي مِن رُّسُلِهِ مَن يَشَاء فَآمِنُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَإِن تُؤْمِنُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ فَلَكُمْ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
Ma kana Allahu liyathara almumineena AAala ma antum AAalayhi hatta yameeza alkhabeetha mina alttayyibi wama kana Allahu liyutliAAakum AAala alghaybi walakinna Allaha yajtabee min rusulihi man yashao faaminoo biAllahi warusulihi wain tuminoo watattaqoo falakum ajrun AAatheemun

The Aya says:
And Allah would not leave the ones who make themselves safe on what you (plural) are upon until He distinguishes the doer of no good from the good doer. And Allah would not make you (plural) perceive the unperceived. But Allah collects/ chooses of His envoys whoever He wills. Therefore make yourselves safe in Allah and His envoys and if you make yourselves safe including act consciously, then to you (plural) belongs great compensation for action.

My personal note:
The term ma kana Allahu literally means: Allah not happened to be or Allah was not but that is not the actual usage of the term in Arabic. However, that structure would actually be used to mean: Allah would not, and that is how I translated it.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Ma: not
Kana: he was/ he happened to be
Note: the root is K-W-N and it means being. KANA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of being happened by the subject (third personal singular). This in turn means: he were or he happened to be
Allahu: Allah
Liyathara: to leave/ to let go
Note: Li means to. YATHARA is derived from the root TH-R-Y and it means throwing an object in the wind to let the wind carry it. This conceptually takes the meaning of leaving something alone or let go and it can take many other meanings. YATHARA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of letting the wind take/ leave alone/ let go of the object (almumineena= the ones who make themselves safe) is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to God).
Almumineena: the ones who make themselves safe
Note: the root Hamza-M-N and it means safety. ALMUMINEENA means the ones who make themselves safe.
AAala: on
Ma: what
Antum: you (plural)
AAalayhi: above him/ upon him
Hatta: until
Yameeza: he distinguishes
Note: the root is M-Y-Z and it means distinguishing. YAMEEZA is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of distinguishing (the object alkhabeetha min altayyibi= the bad from the good) is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to God).
Alkhabeetha: the bad/ the no good and does no good/ the doer of no good
Note: the root is KH-B-TH and it means in one of it’s concrete meanings the by products of the metal smelting that is thrown away for being not usable. This term is then used for anything that is not helpful, not usable and not good, or even bad. ALKHABEETHA is the not good or the bad.
Mina: from
Alttayyibi: the good and does good / the doer of good
Note: the root is Ta-Y-B and it means good and leads to goodness. The term is used for anything that is good and leads to good results. ALTTAYYIBI is the good who does good or just the doer of good.
Wama: and not
Kana: he was/ he happened to be
Note: the root is K-W-N and it means being. KANA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of being happened by the subject (third personal singular). This in turn means: he were or he happened to be
Allahu: Allah
liyutliAAakum: to make you (plural) aware/ to reveal to you (plural)/ to show you
Note: Li means to. YUTLiAAaKUM is derived from the root TTA-L-Ain and it means becoming visible or seen. Conceptually, it can be taken to mean becoming perceived. YUTLiAAa is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making the object (kum= plural you) see or perceive another object (AAala alghaybi= the unperceived) is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to God).
AAala: on/ upon
Alghaybi: the unperceived
Note: the root is GH-Y-B and it means unperceived in general. One concrete word is the word for thick forest where many things are hidden and unperceived as opposed to the open desert that the Arabs were familiar with. This is then conceptually taken to any thing that disappears or becomes as if it disappeared in the forest. ALGHAYBI here means the unperceived.
Walakinna: but
Allaha: Allah
Yajtabee: He extracts/ collects/ Choses
Note: the root is J-B-Y and it means in one concrete usage, the collection of the water in a pool so that people and animals can drink from it. In a conceptual manner, it is used for any collection of useful things for others and so on. It is often used for the extraction of taxes. YAJTABEE is an action that being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making the object (min rusullihi= from his envoys) collected is being completed or will be completed by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah) for the subject.
Min: from
Rusulihi: His messengers/ envoys
Note: the root is R-S-L and it means to envoy someone or a group of people or animals. The concrete word is RASL and it means a group of people or animals that were sent by their owners or senders. RUSULI means envoys or messengers of. HI means him and it points to God.
Man: whoever
Yashao: He wills/ He entities
Note: the root is SH-Y-Hamza and it means entity for noun and to entity for the action. This means making a non entity become an entity, which also means making what was impossible possible, or what was non existent, existent or what was un-allowed allowed, and so forth. YASHAO is an action that is related to the root that is being completed or will be completed. It means: The entity is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular and points to God).
faaminoo: therefore make yourselves safe
Note: FA means then or therefore or so. AMINOO is derived from the root Hamza-M-N and it means safety. AMINOO is an order addressing a group of people. It means: make yourselves safe or trust.
biAllahi: in Allah
warusulihi: and his messengers/ envoys
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. WA is often translated as an addition (and), but inclusion probably covers the meaning a little better. RUSULIHI is derived from the root R-S-L and it means to envoy someone or a group of people or animals. The concrete word is RASL and it means a group of people or animals that were sent by their owners or senders. RUSULI means envoys or messengers of. HI means him and it points to God.
Wain: and if
Tuminoo: you make yourselves safe (in Allah)
Note: the root is Hamza-M-N and it means safety. TUMINOO is an action that is completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making the object (undeclared but it includes the subject mainly and others) safe is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural).
Watattaqoo: and make yourselves act consciously/ including making your-selves act and think consciously
Note: WA is a letter that links what is before with what is after. This link is through inclusion, either one is included in the other or they are all included in the bigger sentence or bigger picture. WA is often translated as an addition (and), but inclusion probably covers the meaning a little better. TATTAQOO is derived from the root W-Qaf-Y and it means guarding and the best form of guarding is consciousness or action and thoughts according to consciousness. TATTAQOO is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of making oneself conscious or guard is happening or will be happening by the subject (second person plural).
Falakum: then to you (plural) belongs
Ajrun: compensation/ Compensation for work
Note: the root is Hamza-J-R and it means compensation for work done. AJRUN means compensation of work or just compensation
AAatheemun: Great
Note: the root is Ain-TH-M and it means great/hard/strong. The concrete word is AAaTHM and that is the bones or the hard/strong/firm core of things. AAaTHEEM means great.
