Salaam all,
This is 3:86
Kayfa yahdee Allahu qawman kafaroo baAAda eemanihim washahidoo anna alrrasoola haqqun wajaahumu albayyinatu waAllahu la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena
The Aya says:
How (does) Allah guide a people who rejected after their safety (in Him) and witnessed that the messenger is binding truth and came to them with the clarifiers, while Allah does not guide the transgressing people?!
My personal note:
This is an Aya that mentions that when people reject after having seen the truth and witnessed it is something that will make them in a very difficult place to receive the message and become safe in it again. One thing to keep in mind is that this Aya points to difficulty, but not complete impossibility of finding the truth again.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Kayfa: how?!
Yahdee: He guides/ He gifts guidance
Note: the root is H-D-Y and it means gift in all it’s forms and it carries the meaning of guidance since guidance is a gift. YAHDEE is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of gifting or guiding is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah) to the object (QAWMAN).
Allahu: Allah
Qawman: A people
Note: the root is Qaf-Y-M and it means standing or standing upright. QAWM are the people that stand together and that makes the group or people or nation, basically, any group of people that stand together.
Kafaroo: they rejected
Note: the root is K-F-R and it means burying the seed in the ground for planting. It is used to mean rejection of an idea because that means covering the brain in the ground from the idea or covering the idea so that it is not known or seen. Note: The root is Hamza-M-N and it means safety. EEMANI is safety of. HIM means them and in here and here it is the safety in GOD.
Washahidoo: and they witnessed as truth
Note: WA links what is before with what is after, either through inclusion in each other or in a bigger picture. SHAHIDOO is derived from the root SH-H-D and it means witnessing of truth and it also denotes that the witness knows very well what he or she is witnessing about. The concrete meaning is the honey mixed with wax therefore the wax is the witness of the truth that the honey is the honey. Another concrete meaning is the baby that was just born and is covered with a membrane. SAHIDOO is an action that is completed or will be completed. It means: the action of witnessing of truth happened by the subject (third person plural)
Anna: that
Alrrasoola: the messenger
Note: the root R-S-L and it means the group of animals or humans that were sent somewhere by a sender. ALRRASOOLA means the messenger from the sender.
Haqqun: binding truth/ binding right
Note: the root Ha-Qaf-Qaf and it means binding right where right means correct as well s what is due to one person (rights and obligations). HAQQUN is binding right or binding truth.
Wajaahumu: and came to them
Note: WA links what is before with what is after, either through inclusion in each other or in a bigger picture. JAAHUMU is derived from the root J-Y-Hamza and it means coming. JAA is an action that is completed. It means: the action of coming happened by the subject (third person singular pointing to Albyyinatu= the clarifiers) to the object (humu which means them).
Albayyinatu: the clarifiers
Note: the root is B-Y-N and it means between. This word then assumes many meanings as separation and distancing between two or more things. It also carries the meaning of clarification between two things. Here, it adopts the meaning of clarification. ALBAYYINATU are the clarifiers.
waAllahu: And Allah/ while Allah
la: not
yahdee: He guides
Note: the root is H-D-Y and it means gift in all it’s forms and it carries the meaning of guidance since guidance is a gift. YAHDEE is an action that is being completed or will be completed. It means: the action of gifting or guiding is happening or will be happening by the subject (third person singular pointing to Allah) to the object (QAWMAN).
Alqawma: the people/ the group
Note: the root is Qaf-Y-M and it means standing or standing upright. ALQAWM are the people that stand together and that makes the group or people or nation, basically, any group of people that stand together.
Alththalimeena: the transgressors/ the mis-placers of right and wrong/ the ones who make decisions in darkness
Note: the root is THA-L-M and it means darkness in the most concrete form. This word also takes the meaning of misplacing right from wrong and transgression since it is misplacing right from wrong and a decision made in darkness. ALTHTHALIMEENA are the ones in darkness, the transgressors or the misplacers of right and wrong.
Salaam all and have a great day
Hussein
