Salaam all,
This is 3:46
وَيُكَلِّمُ النَّاسَ فِي الْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلاً وَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Wayukallimu alnnasa fee almahdi wakahlan wamina alssaliheena
The Aya says:
And he will speak to the people in the cradle (age) and the middle age and (he will be) of the righteous.
My personal note:
This Aya points to something that the Qur’an mentions and that is that Jesus spoke while he was in the cradle at a very young age.
Translation of the transliterated words:
Wayukallimu: and he will speak to
Note: WA means and. YUKALLIMU is derived from the root K-L-M and it means an opening in the skin as an open wound or an open mouth which means speech. YUKALLIMU is an action that is happening or will be happening. It means: the action of speech will be made to happen by the subject (third person singular pointing to Jesus) to the object (ALNNASA= the people and coming up)
Alnnasa: the people/ the society
Note: the root is Hamza-N-S and it means socializing. ALNNASA are the society or the people.
Fee: in
Almahdi: the cradle/ the cradle age
Note: the root is M-H-D and it means the flat place where one can sleep or rest and so forth. It is also used for flat and easy surface of any kind. ALMAHDA is the word used for the bed of the baby or the cradle. Here it is used to mean the age of the baby.
Wakahlan: and when grey/ and in the middle age
Note: WA means and. KAHLAN is derived from the root K-H-L and it means when the person becomes grey headed. It is also used for the people in the age group between thirty and fifty or the middle age group generally. KAHLAN is a graying man or a middle aged man.
Wamina: and of/ from
Alssaliheena: the righteous/ the ones of benefit
Note: the root is Sad-L-Ha and it means becoming helpful or useful in a good direction. This means mainly: becoming one of benefit as in benefiting oneself and others. Included in this meaning is becoming fixed after having been broken. ALSSALIHEENA are the ones of benefit/ the ones who benefit others and themselves and those are the righteous.
Salaam all and have a great day
Hussein
