رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنزَلَتْ وَاتَّبَعْنَا الرَّسُولَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
Rabbana amanna bima anzalta waittabaAAna alrrasoola faoktubna maAAa alshshahideena

The Aya says:
Our nurturing Lord, we made ourselves safe in what You brought down, and we joined and followed the messenger, therefore write us/ put us together with the witnesses (of truth).

My personal note:
The word SH-H-D indicates within it’s meaning of witnessing knowledge as well, since the witness has to have solid knowledge of what he or she is witnessing. Also, the oktub=write has within it the meaning of putting things together as in putting the letters and words together. Therefore, in additional to meaning write us, it has the equally correct meaning of put us together with, or make us gathered with the other witnesses of the truth.

Translation of the transliterated words:
Rabbana: Our nurturing Lord
Note: the root is R-B-B and it means lord or king who is also nurturing and sustaining. The word is used for the head of the household and for the teacher because both are leaders over us and they nurture us in many ways. RABBA means: nurturing lord of. NA means us. The nurturing lord is God, for he is our lord and nurturer/sustainer at the same time.
Amanna: We made our-selves safe (in You and your message)
Note: the root is Hamza-M-N and it means Safety. AMANNA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: The action of making become safe happened by the subject (first person plural). The entity that was made safe is the subject itself, but can include others.
Bima: in what
Note: Bi denotes that what comes after is a tool and/or an object or an association with an action that was mentioned. In here the action is the arrival of God’s message through Jesus. MA means what.
Anzalta: What You brought down/ What you made arrive
Note: the root is N-Z-L and it means arrival at a destination and it also means descent. The relationship between the two words is that the person that arrives at the destination descends from his horse or camel and so forth. This is the conceptual meaning of the term and it takes specific meanings according to the plane of thought of the sentence. ANZALTA is an action that is completed that is derived from the root. It means: the action of making the object (MA which means what) descend or arrive happened by the subject (second person singular pointing to God)
waittabaAAna: and we made our-selves join and follow
Note: Wa means and. ITTABaAANA is derived from the root T-B-Ain and it means following footsteps or following behind, or joining and following. ITTABaAANA is an action that is completed. It means: the action of making the object (first person plural) join and follow happened by the subject (same as the object).
Alrrasoola: the messenger
Note: the root R-S-L and it means the group of animals or humans that were sent somewhere. ALRRASOOLA means the messenger.
Faoktubna: Therefore, write us/ Put us together
Note: FA means therefore or so or then. OKUTBNA is derived from the root K-T-B and it means putting things together as in grouping the herd together or closing the lips or writing (the most common use), because in writing, one puts the letters and the ideas together. OKTUB is an order addressing a singular to write or to put together the object NA which means us.

alshshahideena: the witnesses (of truth)
Note: the root is SH-H-D and it means witnessing of truth and it also denotes that the witness knows very well what he or she is witnessing about. The concrete meaning is the honey mixed with wax therefore the wax is the witness of the truth that the honey is the honey. Another concrete meaning is the baby that was just born and is covered with a membrane. ALSHSHAHIDEENA are the witnesses of the truth. One keeps in mind that the witnesses have knowledge of what they are witnessing.
